
GMUNDEN (30 May at 17 p..m.) - The second race has just concluded and the third is on. The wind kept on blow in15 knots. Compared to the first race everything changed and Spanish and Italian crews are standing out. The first place is for Bribon-Movistar” helmed by Marc de Antonio, one of the strongest skippers, and not just in the Platu 25 class. In 2008 Bribon came 3rd in the World Championship in Eraklion (Greece) and in 2009 3rd in the Worlds in Punta Ala (Italy). It won also the Spanish Championship in 2010
The second place is for Euz II Monella Vagabonda” owned by Francesco Lanera and helmed by the talented skipper Sandro Montefusco. The boat has just won the II Act of the Platu 25 Alpen Cup that took place in Ebensee on the Traunsee Lake last week end. “Euz II” is an original Pugliese-Swiss team. The crew is composed indeed by the Swiss Markus Sigrist (tactic), Corrado Capece Minutolo(tailor), Francesco Lanera (piano), Elisabetta Picca (Jocker), the Swiss Lukas Gerig (Bowman).
There is still a German team in podium position: it’s Walter Lindinger’s “B 52” that concluded at the third place. The third race started around at five and three boats are fighting for the first place, the Italian “Monella Vagabonda Euk II” helmed by Sandro Montefusco, the Austrian “La Burra” and the German “Falkone”. We know soon the names of the winners of his first day of Worlds.
